FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
Someone actively listening and helping you to explore your feelings and issues in a safe environment.
HOW MUCH WILL A SESSION COST?
I offer an initial free telephone consultation and a reduced price first session. The first 50 minute session is £40 and subsequent sessions are £55 for 50 minutes.
I also offer a limited number of lower cost sessions. I can discuss the possibility of this if the cost is difficult for you.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
I work flexibly to make sure that you get the most out of your counselling. I do not recommend a set number of sessions and you are under no obligation to re-book, we can discuss any goals you may have and review our work together on an ongoing basis to make sure that the sessions are helpful to you. We can work together for an agreed number of sessions, or our sessions can be open ended where we can assess progress over time.
WILL OUR SESSIONS BE CONFIDENTIAL?
Whatever we talk about in a counselling session will remain confidential. However there are certain exceptions which are:
If you were to tell me anything that is life threatening or harmful to you or anyone else I might have to break confidentiality. I would do my best to discuss this with you first.
If you were to tell me that you are involved in any acts of terrorism, drug trafficking or money laundering then I would have to report this immediately
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I offer phone and online counselling as well as face to face sessions. If you would like a face to face session I work from a garden room in Chesham Bois, Amersham. Click here for information about the location.
